An interest in nature is something that most humans
always have and always will share. Children especially have curiosity about
living things. There are two major areas of biology. The first is botany, which
is the study and classification of plants. This includes the plants structure,
ecology, their physiology and their economic importance.
In the classroom, the child often
manipulates the real object first before moving to cards or abstract concepts.
