Sunflower Montessori School (SMS) is an authentic, quality, infant, toddler, and primary school for children between the ages of 6 weeks to 6 years old. Located in Littleton, Colorado, our program follows the method designed by Maria Montessori and strives to provide warm and inviting environments which encourage learning through sensorial exploration, freedom of movement, independence, and practical life activities. 

 The staff at SMS have been carefully hand-picked in order to ensure the very best quality of care for the children. All of the lead teachers have either AMS or AMI infant and toddler teaching credentials through an accredited Montessori training center. The assistants are group leader certified as is defined by the Colorado Department of Human Services. All of the staff have a true passion for working with, and guiding, children and all of them bring a special touch to the SMS family community.

At Sunflower Montessori School we are committed to providing an educational environment that is supportive of the unique spirit of each child and encourages the child to grow intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically at his or her own pace. We are a year-round school with the academic year ending in May. The summer months expand into an exploration program full of fun themes, field trips, and continued learning.
